I won't be able to physically attend the event, and I work Friday and Saturday. I'm available all day Sunday or until 2PM CT Friday and Saturday, in the morning, or much later at night around midnight. It's a short but sweet run with a focus on smooth movement and creative tricks. Dodging and weaving between enemies to keep up speed, and using enemies either against themselves or to reach places I otherwise cannot. It is also a semi-unique spin on Half-Life speedrunning, since Afraid of Monsters has no means to damage boost by yourself. The closest you get to damage boosting is getting hit by an enemy for just a pittance of height. This ends up making the run more of a horizontal endeavor rather than a vertical one. Overall it's a run with smooth movement, and creative tricks. I am planning to perform the run in-person. To help along any background checks, here's some relevant links:Ģ PM-12 AM are the ideal times, could be stretched an hour or two both ways. I should be available on all days during the event.ĭiddy Kong Racing is an exceptionally deep speed game with interesting, abstract speed tech and flashy gameplay. Talking points for commentary are endless, and the great music combined with fun graphics makes for a good watch. Over the past year I myself have worked my way into the top 10 runners for this game, competing with the best of the best for top level times. This would allow me to really show this game off on it's deepest levels. On it's own, ATR is a category where runners with the highest skill level and highest consistency level get the best times. There is virtually no real luck or RNG involved. This makes it a great showcase for high skill level play. There aren't a lot of bidwars you could do that would be all that interesting. I think some silly things might work - i.e. Something fun like that would be neat.ĭ i a m o n d c r a f t e r A D i a m o n d c r a f t e r A Toufool's SGDQ 2013 run where every single race start the entire room shouted "Get Ready, Go!" as a donation incentive. U Deluxe is a brand new port to the Nintendo Switch and is really fun to play and watch. In the All Castles category I will show off every castle in the game and go through all 8 worlds. It showcases a variety of levels and an interesting new route due to the way we now switch from Luigi to Nabbit. Compared to nsmbu the levels are faster paced and shorter but also much harder which makes for a great (but difficult) speedgame with plenty of opportunities for great things to happen. Bowser - I will beat bowser as Peachette (toadette with the Super Crown) - I need to know about 10 minutes before the end of the run which I will ask about. Maybe about 25 dollars (oh yeah I will do it in the run if that wasn’t already implied) I might need a couple extra minutes if something goes wrong. I’m not sure how long the credits take btw and as far as I know I’m available anytime except for 3-6 (or something like that) on Saturday due to church. Sonic 3D Blast is an isometric platforming game released in 1996 developed by Traveller's Tales for the Sega Genesis, Windows PC, and Sega Saturn. The Best Ending category, recently receiving full leaderboard support on SRC, requires the player to collect all 7 Chaos Emeralds by collecting 50 rings in a stage and then locating Knuckles or Tails, who appear in the first 10 non-boss acts, giving you potentially 20 locations throughout the game. Paired with constant slippery physics, forced enemy encounters, and the varied movement tech in the game, this is definitely a run to see! There's been a lot of revision and discoveries made in the last 3 months to come up with the best 7, which involves routing out the fastest rings to pick up in the run. I work overnights 11 pm - 7 am EST, and TYPICALLY work Saturday through Wednesday, with Thursdays and Fridays off. I need overnights as my commentator, Mike89, is located in Australia and this is when his hours work best as well.Pangea Software’s Ultimate Game Programming Guide for Mac OS X Brian Greenstone I would prefer my run to be overnight on either a Thursday or Friday night, and if my nights off are suddenly swapped the week of the event while the schedule is being made, I will be in touch.
